marc’s work is grounded in craniosacral therapy, a slow, gentle and subtle approach to working with the body’s inherent drive toward regulation, balance, healing, and expansiveness. He was drawn to this work through his experience as a client of exceptional manual therapists, fascinated by their abilities to perceive - with specificity and nuance - areas of held tension and pain as well as the larger patterns around them. His own body’s profound response to gentle pressure backed by care, detailed understanding of anatomy, and specific intention, inspire his work. marc strives to live up to this mentorship by working as a facilitator, listening closely to his clients, witnessing what is and has been, holding space and offering questions about what openings, resolutions, comfort, and joy might be possible. This work is collaborative and co-creative, and he is honored to travel alongside his clients and offer a helping hand in their growth and healing.
marc is a 2013 graduate of the Cortiva Institute of Seattle and has since studied extensively with Pat O’Rourke, completing her Craniosacral Certification program in 2018. marc is excited to join the Massage Place and return to bodywork after stepping away from 2020 to ‘25 to work in construction, primarily as a carpenter.

My massage style is intuitive and I use long, slow techniques to invite the body’s tissues to relax deeply and recover from injury. My craniosacral sessions are supportive and grounding to the nervous system, to help clients unwind from old unhealthy patterns or traumas and build more resilience. My herbal work is rooted in empowering my clients to trust their body’s intelligence, to feel in charge of their own health and healing, and to find an ever-deepening connection with nature and the gifts of the plants. My life’s work is to help people strengthen and trust their body-mind-spirit connections, and to maintain inner balance in the midst of stressful situations. My website is www.thistleandmoon.com

I began my journey towards the healing arts at an early age guided by my Naturalist grandmother and family deep in the 'hollers' of the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina often in search of elusive salamanders, and crouching down to capture the ephemeral woodland medicinals plants.
My early years developing mindful presence & patience continued to inform my life’s work as I delved into ecology, plant medicine, and a myriad of natural sciences at The Evergreen State College ( degree in 2001) as well as body systems thru Massage Therapy and the evidence-based and deeply rooted traditional wisdom of Chinese Medicine’s complex healing (healthcare) system.
I graduated from The Alexander School of Natural Therapeutics and received my Massage Therapy Licensure in 2014, MA 60453759. My areas of study/practice encompass; Trigger Point Therapy, Sports, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy, Lomilomi, Tuina, Cupping, and Gua Sha treatments. My bodywork style is patient-centered, collaborative and intuitive. I hold a Master's level Degree in Acupuncture from Middleway Acupuncture Institute and became Licensed in 2021 as an Acupuncturist in Washington State, AC 61209299. I am also certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture (NCCAOM).
My offerings include Chinese Medicine; (moxa, Tui na, dietary therapies, cupping qi-gong exercises, and needling(stand-alone), bodywork(stand-alone), and a unique blend of acu-massage drawing from my bodywork foundation of palpation, deep listening and Trauma Informed Care practices.
